معرفی
Dr. Ranko Heindl is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at San José State University. He joined the university in 2012 after serving as an NRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado, where he worked in the Magnetics Group for over five years. His expertise spans magnetism, spintronics, nonvolatile memories, and advanced materials research.
- Education:
- PhD in Applied Physics, University of South Florida, 2006
Research Interests: Dr. Heindl focuses on magnetic random access memories (MRAM), magnetic recording materials for hard disk drives, magneto-resistive sensors, and high-frequency properties of magnetic thin films. His technical expertise includes vacuum thin film deposition, nanofabrication, and device testing. He is affiliated with the American Physical Society (APS) and the IEEE Magnetics Society.
Labs & Facilities: His laboratory (SCI 250) supports advanced materials characterization and device prototyping.
