Ranke de Vries is the Ben Alder Professor and Chair of the Department of Celtic Studies at St Francis Xavier University. She holds a Master's in Celtic Languages and Literature and Medieval Studies from Utrecht University, followed by a PhD in Early Irish from Trinity College Dublin.
