Ranjit Singh

Ranjit Singh is an Associate Professor at the University of Mary Washington in the Department of Political Science and International Affairs. He specializes in Middle East politics, the Palestine-Israel conflict, International Affairs, and Local Land Conservation.

• Experience: Lived in the Middle East for over seven years, worked as a field officer for the National Democratic Institute during the Oslo peace process, and served as an international election observer in Asia and Africa.

His research spans political development, conflict analysis, and environmental issues, with publications in journals like Review of Middle East Studies, Middle East Report, and Small Wars Journal. He also chairs the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust and explores environmental justice in the Fredericksburg region.
