Randy Larkins, Ph.D., is the Chair and Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Statistics and Research Methods at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). He holds a PhD in Applied Statistics and Research Methods from UNC (2018), an MS in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University (1989), and a BS in Psychology from Colorado State University (1987). His academic roles include Assistant Professor at UNC since 2018, Adjunct Faculty (2015–2018), and leadership in assessment and research roles at multiple institutions.
Larkins specializes in qualitative research, mixed methods, program evaluation, student assessment, and student success. His research spans cross-cultural education, online learning challenges, teacher preparedness, and educational technology integration. He has contributed to peer-reviewed journals such as World Journal of Education, International Journal of Higher Education, and European Sport Management Quarterly.
