Randall Trzeciak

Randall Trzeciak is an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Graduate School of Information Systems and Management. He also serves as the Director of the Masters of Science in Information Security Policy & Management (MSISPM) Program. Additionally, he holds a technical leadership role at CERT Program within the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at CMU, managing the Enterprise Threat and Vulnerability Management Team and the CERT Insider Threat Center.

Research Focus: His work centers on cybersecurity, particularly in

• insider threat detection
• incident response frameworks
• enterprise vulnerability management
• threat modeling
• security posture assessment
• relational database systems

Team Leadership: At CERT, he oversees domain experts conducting technical threat research, building insider threat programs, and developing security controls. His prior roles included managing the Management Information Systems (MIS) team at SEI and software engineering projects at Carnegie Mellon Research Institute (CMRI) and Software Technology, Incorporated (STI).
