Rana Abughannam is an Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia's School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. A Palestinian architect and scholar, her research focuses on counter-colonial practices in architecture, particularly through Indigenous and bottom-up resistance to colonial projects in Palestine.

Her work examines spatial violence, concealment strategies, and architectural ethics under colonialism. She has collaborated with grassroots organizations on rehabilitation projects in Palestine and previously taught at Carleton University, Canadian University Dubai, and Birzeit University.
