Ramona Wray is a Professor of Shakespeare and Early Modern Literature at Queen’s University Belfast, School of Arts, English and Languages. She is renowned for her expertise in Shakespeare studies, early modern drama, women’s writing, adaptation, film, and memory studies.
- Co-author of Great Shakespeareans: Welles, Kurosawa, Kozintsev, Zeffirelli (2013)
- Editor of Arden Early Modern Drama edition of Elizabeth Cary’s The Tragedy of Mariam (2012)
- Co-editor of multiple essay collections including The Edinburgh Companion to Shakespeare and the Arts (2011)
Her research explores the intersection of Shakespearean adaptation, early modern women’s writing, and memory studies, with a focus on epistolary networks and literary biography. Recent projects include the EC/Horizon 2020 Marie Curie Fellowship on Women's Epistolary Networks, 1600-1700: Ireland and Beyond.
