Ramon Torres-Isea

Ramon Torres-Isea is a Research Laboratory Specialist and Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the University of Michigan. He is affiliated with the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) and contributes to department operations, the Demonstration Lab, and student groups. His roles involve supporting academic infrastructure and advising initiatives such as the Undergraduate Internship Program and the GSI Application for Non-Physics Students.

His research interests span physics education, laboratory technology, and specialized areas within physics including cosmology, astrophysics, nuclear and subatomic physics, atomic and molecular physics, and elementary particle physics. He is actively involved in maintaining the Physics Shops and collaborates with research centers and programs in these fields.

In advising and grants, he supports student career development and academic guidance through LSA's Opportunity Hub and departmental resources. His work includes overseeing laboratory facilities at the Randall Lab and Homer A. Neal Lab, located at 450 Church Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1040.
