Dr Ramin Behbehani is a Lecturer in Operations Management at Brunel Business School, Brunel University London, serving as Programme Lead for the MSc in Global Supply Chain. With over a decade of executive leadership experience in oil, gas, and petrochemicals, he integrates industry insights into sustainable operations research and teaching. His work bridges cognitive science and supply chain management to address environmental challenges.

Dr Behbehani investigates cognitive drivers of sustainability, analyzing how managerial decision-making frameworks, cognitive biases, and mental models influence adoption of eco-friendly practices. His second research stream examines social dynamics through stakeholder engagement, inter-organizational collaboration, and business model innovation to foster environmentally responsible operations.
Specialized interests include sustainability transitions in energy-intensive sectors, circular supply chain analytics, and human factors in Industry 5.0 digital servitization. His work targets practical interventions for psychological barriers in sustainability implementation.
PhD Supervision
He actively recruits doctoral candidates for research on cognitive/behavioral drivers of sustainable operations, circular economy analytics, stakeholder collaboration for sustainability transitions, and digital servitization in supply chains. Emphasizing inclusive pedagogy, he mentors students through interdisciplinary approaches to develop next-generation operations leaders.
