Ramazan Kilinc

Ramazan Kilinc is a Professor of Political Science and Director of the School of Government & International Affairs at Kennesaw State University (KSU). Previously, he held the Goldstein Family Community Chair in Human Rights at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), where he taught courses on human rights and Middle East politics. He earned a Ph.D. (2008) from Arizona State University and B.A./M.A. degrees (1999/2001) from Bilkent University, Turkey.

His research focuses on comparative politics, international relations, religion, human rights, and democracy. Notable works include Alien Citizens (Cambridge, 2020) and co-authored Generating Generosity (Cambridge, 2018). He leads initiatives like the 'Refugee Experiences in Nebraska' project and 'Dialogue with Muslim Communities in Omaha,' fostering academic-community engagement.

Recipient of prestigious awards including the 2022 Faculty Service Learning Award and 2021 Outstanding Teaching Award. His teaching philosophy emphasizes student civic engagement, reflected in projects like the 'Global Citizens Academy' and intergenerational political dialogues. He also directs the UNO Islamic Studies Program, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue on Islam and Middle Eastern politics.
