Ram Devireddy

Ram Devireddy holds the DeSoto Parish Alumni Professorship and Louisiana Land & Exploration Chair in Mechanical Engineering at LSU. His research develops biotransport models and biomedical technologies for stem cell preservation and tissue engineering.

Key innovations include cryopreservation protocols for adipose-derived stem cells, 3D bioprinting systems for tissue scaffolds, and hyperspectral imaging for non-invasive cell monitoring. Research spans heat/mass transfer in biological systems and nano-biomaterial interactions.

Honors include multiple teaching awards, JSPS Fellowship, and LSU Distinguished Faculty recognition. Research supported by NSF, NIH, and DoD grants.

Leads interdisciplinary collaborations in regenerative medicine and mentors graduate researchers through the Biomedical Applications Laboratory.
