Ram Balachandar

Dr. Ram Balachandar is a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Engineering. He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Civil Engineering. His research focuses on fluid dynamics phenomena such as fluid-structure interaction, hydraulic structures, open channel flow dynamics, and turbulence characterization. He is affiliated with the International Association of Hydraulic Research, Canadian Society of Civil Engineering, and CFD Society of Canada.

Key research areas include wake dynamics, turbulent boundary layer interactions, and flow behavior around bluff bodies.
