Ralph Tille

Prof. Ralph Tille is a Professor of Interactive Media Design at Stuttgart Media University (HdM) since 2007 and serves as Dean of Studies for the Information Design program since 2014. He also leads the Interaction Design Research area at the IAF (Institute for Applied Research). His career spans roles as a freelance industrial designer, research associate at the Institute for Ergonomics and Design Research (University of Duisburg-Essen), and project leader in human-machine interaction design at Daimler AG.

• Education: Industrial Design graduate from Pforzheim University of Design (HfG)

His research focuses on interactive information visualizations, information experience, and design methods in interface and interaction design. He has contributed to applied research in human-machine interaction and design innovation through academic leadership and industry collaboration.

Ralph Tille’s academic and professional work bridges design theory, practical implementation in automotive projects, and pedagogical development. He coordinates the Semester Abroad program and VisCom Minor at HdM, emphasizing experiential design education.
