Ralf J. Leiteritz

Ralf J. Leiteritz is a Full Professor of International Relations, specializing in International Political Economy, at the Faculty of International, Political, and Urban Studies, Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia. He holds a PhD in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, a Master in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University, and a Diplom in Political Science from the University of Potsdam, Germany. He has held visiting positions at the University of Leipzig and Yonsei University and served as Director of Postgraduate Studies and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Desafíos.

His research centers on International Political Economy, with a focus on international finance, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the political and economic relations between China and Latin America. He also investigates the political economy of armed conflict in Colombia and state-business relations in Latin America. His work combines theoretical rigor with empirical depth, often employing comparative and subnational analysis.

The 15 most recent publications reflect a consistent engagement with China-Latin America relations, financial governance, conflict dynamics in Colombia, and technocratic governance.
