Rakesh Sahu is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at McMaster University and an Associate Member of the McMaster School of Biomedical Engineering. His work focuses on materials innovation for health and safety applications, particularly in collaborative projects related to personal protective equipment (PPE) and virus prevention technologies. He has contributed to initiatives involving hyper-localized air purification systems, N95 respirator development, and international PPE distribution efforts.
