Rahul Unni

Rahul Unni is a researcher affiliated with the Institute for Experimental Medicine (IEM) at Kiel University (CAU) and the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology. He is part of the Evolutionary Medicine group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ph. Daniel Unterweger. His research focuses on bacterial evolution during chronic inflammation and its potential applications in ancestral state restorative therapy.

The research project involves collaborations between institutions such as Kiel University, the Leibniz Lung Center in Borstel, the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, the University of Lübeck, and the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH). It is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).
