Rafael Sebastiá Alcaraz

Rafael Sebastiá Alcaraz serves as a Full Professor in the Department of General and Specific Didactics at the University of Alicante's Faculty of Education. His academic work bridges geography education and historical pedagogical research, with institutional affiliations including the Interuniversity Institute of Geography and the Jean Monnet Chair of History and Institutions of the European Community.

His educational background features dual doctorates: a PhD in Geography (1998) and a PhD in Philosophy and Letters (2018), complemented by a Master's in Land Use Planning and Valencian Studies. Key research contributions include organizing the 2015 International Geography Education Congress in Alicante and serving six years as Secretary of the Geography Didactics Group of the AGE (Spanish Association of Geography). His historical education research focuses on 19th-century primary education, teacher training colleges, and technical education frameworks.
