Rafael Peñaloza

Rafael Peñaloza is an Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics, Systems, and Communication, University of Milano-Bicocca. His academic career spans over 14 years, including a decade in Germany where he earned his Ph.D. in Description Logics, followed by four years as an Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.

Peñaloza specializes in imperfect knowledge systems, with core focus on uncertainty quantification, vagueness modeling, and inconsistency resolution within knowledge bases.
