Rafael Fayos Febrer

Rafael Fayos Febrer is a Full Professor in the Department of Humanities at CEU Cardenal Herrera University, Valencia, Spain, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Communication Sciences. He has been a faculty member since 2002 and previously taught at Francisco de Vitoria University from 1999 to 2002. He teaches Philosophical Anthropology across undergraduate programs in Law, Business Administration, Marketing, and Veterinary Medicine.

His research centers on two major philosophical domains: the philosophy of science, with a focus on Karl Popper’s epistemology and realism, and personalist philosophy, particularly the thought of Romano Guardini. His work explores themes of truth, human nature, freedom, vulnerability, and the intersection of faith and reason. He investigates how personalist philosophy can respond to modern relativism and cultural decline.

The 15 most recent publications reflect a consistent trajectory in personalist and philosophical anthropology, with increasing emphasis on bioethics, Christian existentialism, and the critique of modernity. His articles frequently appear in philosophical journals and edited volumes, often engaging with Catholic intellectual tradition and interdisciplinary dialogue between science, faith, and culture.

Rafael Fayos Febrer has served in academic leadership as Vice-Rector for Students and University Outreach (2009–2011) and collaborates in postgraduate education at Francisco de Vitoria and Rey Juan Carlos Universities. He is actively involved in research dissemination through editorial and organizational roles. He leads the research group "Persona y Educación" (Person and Education) and contributes to advancing personalist thought through academic service.

He is Secretary of the journal Quién. Journal of Personalist Philosophy and Vice-President of the Spanish Association of Personalism (AEP), playing a key role in promoting personalist scholarship in Spain and beyond.
