Professor Rachel Thomson is a Professor and Head of the Greenslopes Clinical Unit at the University of Queensland's Medical School (Greater Brisbane Clinical School). She specializes in Pulmonary Nontuberculous Mycobacterial (NTM) disease, with an international reputation for research and clinical expertise. Her roles include clinical practice at Greenslopes Private Hospital, public clinics at The Prince Charles Hospital, and MetroSouth Clinical TB service. She also leads the NTM Research Group, focusing on immunological and environmental factors influencing NTM susceptibility, microbiome analysis, and treatment outcomes.
