Rachel Spurrier serves as Assistant Professor and Knights Templar/Dr. Fleetwood Maddox Endowed Chair in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Department of Ophthalmology, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University. Board-certified in Ophthalmology with active Georgia physician licensure and Basic Life Support certification, she maintains clinical and academic responsibilities within the institution.
Education:
- DO in Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (2019)
- BS in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University (2013)
Dr. Spurrier's clinical and research focus centers on Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, evidenced by her endowed chair position and active participation in American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) events. Her work integrates clinical practice with community health initiatives through international medical missions.
