Rachel Sinz is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Catawba College, located in Ketner Hall. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Winston-Salem State University, and an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Mercyhurst University. Her academic focus includes Adult Health Nursing, addressing both acute and chronic patient populations. With a career in clinical education since 2017, she transitioned to academia after establishing a nursing education foundation. Her professional expertise spans medical-surgical, oncological, and perioperative nursing, emphasizing interprofessional teaching. Her research interests include stress management among novice intraoperative nurses during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting her commitment to student well-being and adaptive coping strategies.
