Dr. Rachel Keller is a Professor in the English and Philosophy Department at Snow College's Humanities Division. She holds a PhD in English from the University of New Mexico (2009), specializing in modern American literature, composition, and secondary education, with additional examinations in poetry and 19th-century American literature. Her educational background includes an MA from University of Central Arkansas (2003) and BA from the same institution (2002), complemented by New Mexico State Secondary Teaching License certification.
Teaching responsibilities span expository composition, technical writing, poetry, and developmental writing. Current courses include ENGL 1010 (Expository Composition), ENGL 2100 (Intermediate Technical Writing), ENGL 2240 (Introduction to Poetry), and ENGL 0980 (Writing Basics). Her pedagogical approach integrates literary analysis with writing instruction across multiple educational levels.
Prior to Snow College, Dr. Keller served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cape Verde, West Africa. This international experience informs her comparative approach to literature and education. Professional focus remains on American literary traditions and effective composition pedagogy.
