Rachel Falkenstern is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at St. Francis College. She holds a B.A. from Hunter College, CUNY, and a Ph.D. from Temple University. Her research focuses on 19th-century German philosophy, particularly Hegel's theory of tragedy, Schiller's tragic heroines, and intersections with contemporary film and performance art. She also explores aesthetics, gender philosophy, and teaches courses in ethics, existentialism, and introductory philosophy. Her work bridges historical philosophical frameworks with modern artistic expressions.
