Rachel Bailey

Rachel S. Bailey (Ray) is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research investigates rhetorics of health and science policy with emphasis on advancing student civic engagement and promoting inclusive, equitable, and accessible healthcare.

Research focuses on:

• Rhetorical analysis of health/science policy discourse
• Innovative communication strategies for healthcare accessibility
• Pedagogical approaches to civic engagement
• Equity-centered healthcare communication

As editor of the PWH Connect Journal (Professional Women in Healthcare), she contributes to leadership development and cultural inclusivity initiatives in healthcare.
