Rachel Bacon

Rachel Bacon, Ph.D., is a Research Fellow at the Center for Mind and Culture, affiliated with Pennsylvania State University’s Social Science Research Institute (SSRI). Her work focuses on the intersection of religion, demography, and social structures, with particular emphasis on secularization processes, caregiving dynamics in rural communities, and quantitative modeling techniques. She holds a Ph.D. and utilizes mixed-methods approaches to address complex societal challenges.

Her research interests include analyzing religious ecologies, the impact of education on religious decline, and the challenges faced by rural caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.
