Rachael Vaughan

Dr. Rachael Vaughan is an Associate Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies' School of Professional Psychology and Health, teaching in the Integral Counseling Psychology and MA in Applied Psychology programs. Their research integrates depth psychology with cultural critique, focusing on ethnopsychology, ecopsychology, and colonial trauma.

Education includes a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness from CIIS, an M.A. in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and an M.A. in Theoretical Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh. Their work explores cultural trauma, climate psychology, and decolonization frameworks, with publications examining the psychological roots of colonialism and ecological crises.
