Rachael Messina

Rachael Messina serves as Lecturer I in Public Health and Health Sciences within the College of Health Sciences at the University of Michigan-Flint, while concurrently working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Pavilion.

Her professional focus bridges academic instruction in public health education with clinical expertise in nurse anesthesia. Research interests center on health sciences pedagogy, anesthesia practices, and interdisciplinary approaches to public health education within clinical settings. This dual role enables integration of real-world healthcare experience into academic curriculum development.
