RULIN DENIZ

Rulın Deniz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, where they have served since 2021. Previously, they held the position of Doctor Lecturer at Kafkas University's Faculty of Medicine (2015–2021). Their academic work focuses on reproductive endocrinology, pregnancy complications, and hormonal disorders. Deniz has supervised multiple theses, including studies on missed abortions and fetal-maternal bonding in amniocentesis patients.

Research interests include gestational diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and endometriosis. Notable projects involve investigating biochemical markers like betatrophin, elabela, and asprosin in maternal and umbilical cord blood. Deniz has authored over 38 peer-reviewed articles, contributed to book chapters on gynaecology and obstetrics, and co-authored textbooks such as Denklem Ginekoloji ve Hamilelik.

Academic activities include editorial roles in journals like the Caucasus Journal of Medical Sciences and peer reviews for national publications. Administrative roles included serving as Head of the Department at Kafkas University and Deputy Chief Physician. Clinical expertise spans obstetric emergencies, maternal physiology during pregnancy, and menopause management.

Research projects include a study on urotensin-2 and prolactin levels in women with menstrual irregularities (2016–2017) and investigations into the therapeutic effects of medical ozone on postoperative adhesions (2020). Deniz has also presented at international conferences on topics such as HPV in women and pelvic organ prolapse.
