Dr. Recep Hakkı Koca is a Lecturer at Bingol University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences. He holds a PhD (2022) from Firat University and previously served as a Research Assistant at Dicle University (2013-2016) and Bingol University (2016-2023). His research focuses on reproductive biology, particularly sperm preservation, cryopreservation techniques, and the application of nanotechnology in veterinary medicine. He has authored/co-authored over 17 peer-reviewed articles, contributed to several research projects, and serves as a reviewer for journals like Frontiers and Turkish Journal of Veterinary Research. Key projects include optimizing cryopreservation protocols using nanoparticles like C60 fullerene and investigating antioxidants' roles in sperm viability. His work spans animal species including sheep, rabbits, and bovine.
- Education: DVM from Dicle University (2008-2013), PhD in Fertilization and Artificial Insemination (2016-2022).
- Research Interests: Sperm cryopreservation, nanotechnology in reproduction, antioxidant mechanisms, and reproductive physiology.
- Grants: Completed projects on mitotempo and sericin effects in ram semen, L-carnosine in short-term storage, and probiotic effects on bull semen. Ongoing project on cryopreservation-induced sperm parameter changes.
Publications highlight advancements in semen extender formulations, cryoprotective agents, and molecular changes during freeze-thaw cycles. Collaborations with institutions like Firat University and international co-authors underscore his global academic network.
