R. Eric Stone

R. Eric Stone is Director of Theatre Design & Production and Associate Professor at Shenandoah University. A 28-year veteran of professional theatre, he has designed 145 productions including 46 musicals and 37 Shakespeare works. Previously at University of Iowa (2008-2023), he earned professor emeritus status and served as Director of Graduate Studies.

His international portfolio includes designs in Germany and Czech Republic. He received the 2017 Collegiate Teaching Award for excellence in graduate education and maintains membership in United Scenic Artists 829.
