Qiyuan Zeng

Qiyuan Zeng is a Researcher and PhD Student at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, under Prof. Dr. Lucia Melloni. Their work focuses on understanding consciousness development in infants using advanced neurophysiological techniques like iEEG, EEG, and MEG. Prior to this, they earned a BSc (2016–2020) and MSc (2020–2023) in Psychology from South China Normal University.

Current research projects include investigating consciousness emergence in infants and exploring competitive interactions between motion/static stimuli via sEEG. Awards include the China Scholarship Council Award (2023). Zeng’s research bridges developmental psychology and neuroscience, aiming to identify age-specific markers of conscious experience through interdisciplinary methods.
