Qiyu Sun

Qiyu Sun is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Central Florida. His research focuses on applied and computational harmonic analysis, graph signal processing, and distributed optimization algorithms. He has made significant contributions to inverse graph filtering methods and graph Fourier transforms.

His research interests include:

Dr. Sun has received the 2019 SIAG/CST Best SICON Paper Prize for his work on spatially distributed systems. He serves on editorial boards for several journals including the Journal of Fourier Analysis and Applications.

He has successfully supervised multiple PhD students who have gone on to postdoctoral positions at Duke University, Boston College, and other institutions. His current research includes collaborations on Carleman-Fourier linearization techniques and graph-based neural networks.
