Qingna Jin

Qingna Jin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Cape Breton University. She brings extensive experience as a former classroom science teacher at elementary and secondary levels, complementing her academic role with practical pedagogical insights.

• Research Focus: Dialogical argumentation in science/STEM education, scientific and socioscientific reasoning, children's critical problem-solving in the information age, metacognition, and spatial/logical reasoning through play.
• Professional Background: Prior to her doctoral studies at the University of Alberta, she spent five years as a practicing science educator.
