معرفی
Dr. Qing-Fang Bi is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in the Department of Biogeochemical Integration. Her work bridges microbial ecology and soil biogeochemistry, focusing on the role of microbial communities in soil organic carbon cycling.
Education:
- B.S. in Agricultural Resources and Environment (2014), Zhejiang University
- Ph.D. in Plant Nutrition (2020), Zhejiang University
Research Focus: Dr. Bi investigates how microbial growth, carbon use efficiency, and necromass dynamics influence soil carbon decomposition, formation, and stabilization. She employs omics technologies (16S rRNA, ITS, metagenomics) to link microbial traits to biogeochemical processes.
Current Projects:
- MINAS-MyDiv (iDiv Flexpool fund): Tree diversity and mycorrhization effects on microbial necromass
- BioNeCS (DFG SPP 1374): Land use and biodiversity impacts on microbial carbon storage
- FeeLoo (DFG SPP 1374): Feedback loops between land use intensity and microbial nutrient dynamics
