Qin Li, MD, is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine. She holds an MD from Sun Yat Sen University (2012) and specializes in translational research focusing on pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer biology, and immune mechanisms in infectious diseases. Her work integrates genomic approaches with clinical insights to identify novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
Dr. Li’s research includes developing transcriptional models of fibrosis progression, exploring RNA networks in lung cancer, and investigating nanoparticle-based therapies for cancer. Notable contributions include defining pyroptosis-related gene signatures in lung adenocarcinoma and characterizing the role of long noncoding RNA TINCR in airway differentiation. She collaborates with teams at the Katz Lab and has co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications.
Her recent studies span immunological aspects of SARS-CoV-2 and parasitic infections, reflecting interdisciplinary strengths. Dr. Li was recognized for coordinating PPE donations during the pandemic, demonstrating commitment to clinical and community health.
