Päivi Ylitervo is a Researcher at the University of Borås, affiliated with the Faculty of Textiles, Engineering and Business and the Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery. Her work focuses on enhancing ethanol productivity from lignocellulosic materials using encapsulated yeast and membrane bioreactors.
Research Interests
Her research spans resource recovery, biomass processing, and sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on optimizing co-pyrolysis techniques for bio-oil production and improving bioreactor efficiency for renewable energy applications.
Supervision
She serves as a main supervisor for doctoral student Ghasem Mohammadkhani and co-supervisor for Shahin Shamim.
