Pure hype

Professor Pure Hype is a full-time faculty member at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), holding the rank of Professor at the Chair of Astronomical and Physical Geodesy within the TUM School of Engineering and Design. His research integrates geophysical and oceanographic studies with advanced satellite data analysis.

Research Focus: Professor Hype specializes in the dynamics of Earth's gravitational field and its interactions with oceanic systems. Key areas include:

• Spherical harmonic analysis of gravitational variations using CHAMP satellite data
• Impacts of ocean circulation on gravitational field patterns
• Sea surface topography and mass transport in the Antarctic Circumpolar Current
• High-precision modeling of ocean tides via GRACE satellite constraints
