Psilla Marianna is a Professor of Political Communication at the Department of Communication, Mass Media and Culture, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She also serves as Vice Rector for International Affairs and Cooperations, overseeing 25 Erasmus+ programs with 15 European countries and Canada. Her academic career includes roles as Head of Department (2016–2018), Director of the Mass-Media Division (2011–2017), and Director of the Master's program in Cultural Management.
Education: PhD in Political Science (University of Paris I Sorbonne, 1990), Masters in Ideology/Political Culture and Political/Social Communication. She has taught at the University of Crete (1990–1995) and holds visiting researcher roles at University of Lyon 2 and University of Québec-Rimouski.
Research focuses on political communication, media analysis, and cultural diversity through programs like the EU-funded CODES initiative (2017–2021). She edits the 'Communication-Politics' book series (10+ titles), participates in international conferences, and authored five books. Administrative roles include Scientific Officer of the National Internship Program (2009–2018) and coordination of interdepartmental postgraduate programs.
Her work bridges education and societal challenges, emphasizing multiculturalism management and cultural diversity through strategic partnerships. Office hours are Thursday 10–11 AM for undergraduates and Friday 4–5 PM for postgraduates.
