Priyanka Joshi is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Essex, based at Colchester Campus (Room 5.410). She holds academic support hours on Wednesdays from 9-11 am and can be contacted via priyanka.joshi@essex.ac.uk.
Her research focuses on Political Economics, Applied Microeconomic Theory, Game Theory, and Public Economics, investigating theoretical models of political and economic decision-making with emphasis on exclusion dynamics and group formation processes. She employs rigorous microeconomic frameworks to analyze institutional behavior and strategic interactions in political contexts.
Dr. Joshi teaches Mathematical Methods (EC511) at the postgraduate level. Her 2025 publication in Theory and Decision examines fear-driven club formation, reflecting her expertise in game-theoretic approaches to political economy and contributing to evolving scholarship on social exclusion mechanisms in economic systems.
