Dr. Priyadarsi Nanda is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Data Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), with over 34 years of experience. He specializes in Cybersecurity, IoT security, and related areas, having published over 130 high-quality papers. His research focuses on intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), Sybil attack detection in IoT, and intelligent firewall design. He has successfully supervised 23 HDR students (20 PhD and 3 Masters) and is currently supervising 15 more.
His research interests span Cybersecurity, IoT security, and network security, with a focus on intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), Sybil attack detection, and intelligent firewall design. He also explores data privacy, machine learning applications in security, and federated learning frameworks. Recent work includes phishing attack mitigation strategies, blockchain-based security solutions, and zero-trust architectures.
