Priya Mendiratta

Dr. Priya Mendiratta is an Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), College of Medicine, Department of Geriatrics. She practices at the Thomas and Lyon Longevity Clinic and oversees geriatric care across nursing homes, rehabilitation units, and inpatient consult services. Her educational leadership includes roles as Clerkship Director for medical students, Geriatric Rotation Director for family medicine residents, and Academic House Advisor for 26 medical trainees. She also coordinates Geriatric Grand Rounds and serves on university education/promotion committees.

Her education includes an MD from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (India) and an MPH from Boston University. She completed a Family Medicine residency and Geriatrics fellowship at UAMS.

Research interests focus on geriatric care optimization, medical education innovation, and public health interventions for aging populations. Key areas include dementia assessment protocols, extracorporeal life support outcomes in seniors, and health literacy improvements. Her work integrates clinical practice with educational methodology to enhance trainee competencies in elderly care.
