About
Dr. Pritipuspa Mishra is an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton specializing in Indian history from 1800 to the present. Her work focuses on anti-colonial movements, India's relationship with the British Empire, and post-colonial historiography. She holds a PhD in Modern Indian History from the University of Minnesota, USA, and has held academic positions including tenure-track Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University and a Fung Postdoctoral Fellowship at Princeton University. Currently supervising PhD candidate Kyran Newton De Silva, she is actively engaged in research projects such as MIgrant Medics: A social history of South Asians in the NHS and Nation and Multilingualism. She served as Secretary of the British Association of South Asian Studies (2016–2021).
