Prisca Bruno Massao is an Associate Professor at the Inland Norway University, affiliated with the Faculty of Teacher Education and Pedagogy and the Department of Social Sciences, Religion and Ethics. Her primary location is Campus Hamar, Room 2P204. She actively contributes to research groups such as:
- DivE (Diversity in Education)
- GLOBE (Global Perspectives in Education)
- CritTED (deputy leader) at Østfold University College
- FLEKS (Multiculturalism and Intercultural Communication) at Western Norway University
- GIPS/GLOSS (Global International Practice in South) in the Nordic region
Her research projects include leading Critical Examination of Race and Racism in Teacher Education (CERiTE), which uses Critical Race Theory to address racism in Norway’s educational contexts, and co-leading Active Citizenship and Gender Equality through International Teacher Education (CIGETE), a collaborative mobility initiative with Tanzanian institutions. Over 14 Tanzanian students have participated in international courses at INN, and 7 music teacher students completed teaching practices in Tanzania through this project.
Prisca’s work emphasizes anti-racist pedagogies, cross-border educational partnerships, and the integration of diverse perspectives. She advocates for inclusive global learning frameworks and utilizes tools like Game/Visual Reality (VR) to enhance awareness in teacher education.
