Dr. Preeti Mahato is a Lecturer in Global Health at the Department of Health Studies, Royal Holloway, University of London. She holds affiliations with the Health Inequalities Research Group and serves as an External Examiner at the University of Wolverhampton and a Visiting Fellow at Bournemouth University. Her research focuses on maternal health, migration health, mental health, and health systems in low-resource settings.
Dr. Mahato completed her BSc in Medical Laboratory Science (Nepal), MPH (Australia), and PhD (Bournemouth University) on perinatal services in rural Nepal. She has worked across the UK, Nepal, and Australia in public health roles including lecturing, policy analysis, and clinical laboratory practice.
Her current research interests span maternal care equity, pandemic response strategies, and innovative technologies in healthcare. She has contributed to 26 peer-reviewed publications and led/co-led four research projects addressing topics like pollinator dependence of medicinal plants, farm management impacts on wellbeing, and disparities in maternal care across Europe and Asia.
