Dr. Predrag Lazetic is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Education at the University of Bath. His research focuses on graduate labour market outcomes, youth underemployment, socio-economic determinants of educational participation, and how higher education institutions construct student identities through policy and visual communication. He previously worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey, Director of the Centre for Education Policy in Belgrade, and at the INCHER Kassel in Germany. His doctoral work analyzed graduate job quality across Europe using the REFLEX survey. He holds a PhD from the University of Bath (2017), an MA in Higher Education from the University of Kassel (2009), and a BA in German Language and Literature from the University of Novi Sad (2006).
Key projects include addressing graduate underemployment in post-pandemic labour markets, the role of further education in levelling up initiatives, and the dynamics of student identity construction across Europe. He has collaborated with the European Commission, World Bank, UNICEF, and co-authored the award-winning book Constructing the higher education student: Perspectives from across Europe (2022), which received the 2024 Best Book Award from the Comparative and International Education Society.
His research outputs span education policy analysis, institutional practices, and socio-economic inequalities. He has supervised doctoral research on graduate job quality and contributed to major comparative studies on the Bologna Process and inclusive education financing in Serbia.
