Pravansu Mohanty

Pravansu Mohanty is the Paul K. Trojan Collegiate Professor of Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, affiliated with the College of Engineering and Computer Science. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Mohanty's research focuses on Automotive Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Plasma/Laser Materials Processing, and Biomaterials, with expertise in Nanostructured Materials and Functionally Designed Materials for Energy Storage and Energy Generation. He contributes to teaching in Automotive and Mobility Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
