Pratikshya Sharma

Dr. Pratikshya Sharma is a permanent academic staff member and Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University's School of Computing and Digital Technologies, part of the College of Business, Technology and Engineering. She holds a PhD in Computer Vision and Applied AI from the UK, supported by the Vice-Chancellor's Research Scholarship (2018). Her research focuses on applying AI/ML to computer vision, particularly facial expression analysis, micro-expression recognition, image super-resolution, and generative models for facial attribute reconstruction. She has authored over 10 scientific publications and teaches courses in software engineering, computer science, and AI.

Research Interests: Her work spans facial analysis (micro-expressions, emotion detection), deep learning for image enhancement, satellite imagery processing for environmental analysis, and probabilistic algorithms. She explores GANs for image generation and AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges like urban emotion mapping.
