Pratik Misra

Pratik Misra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the State University of New York at Binghamton. He previously held postdoctoral positions at the Technical University of Munich (2023-2025) and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2021-2023), working with Mathias Drton and Liam Solus, respectively.

His research bridges algebraic geometry and combinatorics with applications in algebraic statistics, causality, and phylogenetics. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from North Carolina State University in 2021 under Seth Sullivant.
