معرفی
Prairie Wentworth-Nice is a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Previously, she earned her PhD in mathematics from Cornell University, where her thesis focused on Finite Groups, Polymatroids, and Error Correcting Codes, advised by Ed Swartz. She holds a BA in mathematics and physics from Swarthmore College with high honors.
Her research interests bridge pure mathematics (finite groups and combinatorics) with pedagogical innovation, particularly in supporting early undergraduate mathematics learners. She emphasizes creating inclusive classroom environments and has been actively involved in gender minority advocacy through roles such as officer in Swarthmore's Women+ In Math/Stat (GeMs) and various positions in Cornell's AWM chapter.
Outside academia, she enjoys dancing, fiber crafts (crocheting/knitting), board games, and puzzles. Contact: pwentwo2@jh.edu.
